Element Lee, also known by his given name Yifan Li, is a Chinese digital artist based in Vienna. His work explores the intersection of humans, technology, and nature through experimental drawings, pixel art, and art-based research, employing pixels and characters as fundamental units of the digital age.
He continues the tradition of line drawing while expanding its boundaries, seeking a condition in which meaning exceeds language and connections form between individual works. Lee holds an MA in Digital Arts from the University of Applied Arts Vienna and a BA in Art Theory from the China Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 2025 his work was included in TzAR: Pixel Art Anthology, an edition of 200 published by The Blasted Tree Publishing Co. featuring more than fifty artists from the Tezos art community. He releases work as NFTs on Tezos through objkt and on Foundation.
