dpzvisuals, known in the Tezos NFT scene as DPZ or Dead Pan Zoom Dropz, is a South East Asia-based artist who also collects and curates 1/1 NFT art. A crypto investor since 2013 who later retired from that work, he creates galleries and exhibitions for his own art and maintains close relationships with many artists.
In December 2021 he organized what he described as the first large live event in the Tezos NFT space, featuring over 65 artists with 20 speaking live on Twitter Spaces. In January 2022 he held a second event, dpz.nft bonanza 2, with 36 artists discussing their work on Twitter Spaces. He also organized a benefit called Art For Ukraine in which 35 artists minted 100 editions at one Tezos each, raising over 7,000 Tezos. He has said he seeks out artists with little clout or promotion who he believes are sincere and deserve recognition, citing his work with Tan Tan and the artist-musician Wax Wane as examples.
