DominikG (German, b. 1993) is an illustrator, concept artist, and animator based in Dresden, Germany. Born Dominik Gümbel in Heidelberg, he studied Communication Design at HTWG Konstanz from 2012 to 2017 before working across studios in Germany, Canada, and the United Kingdom. His work explores glitch aesthetics and the loss of control over the mind.
Between 2017 and 2021, he worked as an exhibition designer for Whitebox in Dresden. He then worked as a production designer for Nuare Studios in Kelowna, Canada, from 2020 to 2021. He worked as an illustrator and motion graphics designer for World of Women in Farnham, United Kingdom, from 2021 to 2023. Since 2024 he has worked as a freelance illustrator and co-founded the studio Gooey Goose GbR.
