He leads Detroit Underground,a Detroit-based record label and multidisciplinary arts collective founded in 1997 and focused on experimental electronic music and video installation.Under the name Kero he has released more than a dozen records on labels including Bpitch, Ghostly International and Shitkatapult, and performed live alongside artists such as Speedy J, Apparat and Otto Von Schirach.In 2025 he released Vacuum, a collaborative techno record with the artist Gotshell, featuring cover art by the artist Jimmy Edgar and a video by Christoph Grünberger.
djkero also works as a visual and audiovisual artist within the glitch art tradition.In 2020 he provided the audio for Davison, a video made with Christoph Grünberger, Florian Renner and Joëlle Snaith that reflects on pandemic-era isolation through classical sculptures of pairs being separated.He has also collaborated with the artist Saeko Ehara on Otherworld, 電子習字 – Digital Calligraphy, shown at the Seattle NFT Museum in 2024.Between 2024 and 2025 he curated two digital exhibitions, “01: Beginnings” and “Friendly Integration”, for the artist ze luna on the Foundation marketplace.In February 2026 he curated a collection of glitch artists, including Kim Asendorf, Lorna Mills and Andrew Benson, for the relaunch of Foundation's homepage under new stewardship by Blackdove, alongside a work of his own shown under the name KERO.
