DisruptedStar

DisruptedStar is a French astrophysicist with a PhD, working in high energy astrophysics. His artist name refers to a tidal disruption event, in which a star that strays too close to a supermassive black hole is torn apart. He has described generative art as playing the role of that black hole in his own life, saying it “has changed my life in many ways”.¹

His first generative artwork was the Coded Mask Project. His second project, made after an observation while walking in the woods with his dog, became the series In the Woods.²
