Diego Trujillo and Mind Wank are two artists who each work with artificial intelligence.,They collaborated on the 2025 series Mortal Coil.Trujillo treats information as both concept and material, building electronic devices, code, and digital images that serve as interfaces for interpreting the world.Mind Wank, the pseudonym of a visual artist, generates eerie, darkly comic AI imagery and video exploring memory, fiction, and digital decay.
Born in Mexico City in 1986, Trujillo Pisanty has exhibited internationally in London, Paris, Mainz, Detroit, and Mexico City, at venues including the Science Gallery, the 404 Festival, and the Saint Etienne Design Biennale. He received an Honorable Mention from Prix Ars Electronica and the Young Creators fellowship from the Mexican Ministry of Culture on three occasions. In Blind Camera (2022), he trained an artificial neural network that could recognize only Mexico City, revealing how such systems are biased by the images on which they are trained.Images from the series were shown in the 2024 group exhibition “Post Photographic Perspectives III: Taming the Machine” on Daily.xyz.
Mind Wank joined Fellowship's Daily program in 2023 and has produced more than a thousand works, including the series BAD JPEGS, which embraces compression artifacts and low-fidelity visuals to subvert notions of “good” art. He is also a co-creator of the AI comedy trio AI OR DIE.In 2025 he released Trauma Influencers, twenty editions launched through Verse and Galerie Met that satirize the commodification of trauma in the attention economy, responding to Susan Sontag's writing on how repeated exposure to images of suffering can numb empathy. His work has been shown in group exhibitions including “Synthetic Realities: Authenticity in the Age of AI Imagery” at Galerie Met in Berlin and “PSYCHOPOMP! Follow the Unconscious” at the Roger Ballen Centre for Photography in Johannesburg.,Their collaborative series Mortal Coil, released through Daily.xyz in July 2025, comprises ten works.
