Dehiscence, also known as TrinleyDorje,is a Canadian,mixed media artist based in Torontowhose work traces the human body as a threshold where matter, memory, and myth converge.She began experimenting with AI in 2018 and has used AI-assisted collage and digital sketching as part of her process since 2020.
Her process aims to move past the prejudices and stereotypes attached to physical traits, drawing attention to the social forces that shape human rights, inclusion, and equality.Working at the intersection of digital art and artificial intelligence, she turns technical limitations into a form of liberated expression, blending psychedelic science fiction with digital introspection to explore post-humanism and the extension of the human into the virtual.Within her layered compositions, anatomical, terrestrial, and celestial imagery coalesce, treating humanity and the Earth as bound by the same breath, capable of both destruction and renewal.
In 2021 the Oslo art space Praksis commissioned Perfection/Speculation for the Vigeland Museum in collaboration with KarmaKlubb, part of a year-long residency supported by a Canada Council for the Arts Arts Abroad grant.In 2024 her work was included in “Paul Klee Digital” at the Kulturmuseum Bern, where international artists were invited to reinterpret Paul Klee's symbols and colors as animated GIFs.,She was also a finalist in SuperRare's first Claire AI Contest in 2023.
