Danilo Batista, known online as dddanill00n, is a Brazilian photographer who reworks his own photographs into digital abstractions using blends, glitches and repeating patterns. He photographs street scenes, portraits and natural settings as raw material, then processes them into neon-toned, layered images. On his personal photography website, Batista describes himself as a hobbyist photographer and amateur actor whose art is financially supported by his job as a civil servant.For his phone-based images he shoots with Asus Zenfone phones, sometimes starting from photographs taken earlier with a DSLR camera, and processes them with apps including Mirrorlab, Glitch!, Decim8, Snapseed and Photoviva.His photo series include Hidden Windows, small creative interventions built into overlooked urban corners as a break from daily routine.Another series, Balloons, he has described as an exploration of the emotional barriers people place between themselves and others.
On Tezos, Batista has minted work since at least 2021, including rain forest 1, a layered, glitched image of Brazilian rainforest scenery. The artwork ephemeralis reduces a human portrait to ASCII-character patterns, removing facial detail and leaving abstract coded fragments in its place. The edition balloons, glitches, negatives and abstracts groups photographs of balloons, glitch effects and inverted negatives into layered abstract compositions. Another work, reunion, blends multiple photographic layers into a single meditation on connection.
