David Dubnitskiy was a fine art nude photographer whose cinematic, quietly romantic images relied on soft, painterly light and meticulous composition. He died in a motorcycle accident near Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine, while traveling from Odessa to Dnipro, on July 21.
Over roughly a decade of work, he produced the photobook Sensual Erotica (2010-2020), 100 photographs that he described as the quintessence of his practice. From 2017 he also worked with commercial organizations worldwide on thematic photo sessions for calendars, posters and advertising, and ran two-day photography workshops in multiple cities.
