Daria Rastunina (Russian, b. 1990) is a multidisciplinary artist who combines traditional painting with digital media and generative methods, including artificial intelligence.Her work explores how technology shapes perception and a person's sense of self,placing figures in an unsettled space between nature and technology,the material and the virtual.
Rastunina works across painting, graphic art and digital media, using deformation and deconstruction of form alongside glitch techniques,and is also active as a curator.She is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia.In the series GHOSTLY she examines subjective recollection and the unreliability of memory, considering how artificial intelligence affects trust in a person's environment based on personal and historical experience. The series includes Lost Beyond Recovery, 2023, an edition of ten.It was shown as part of “RECOLLECTION. AI AND MEMORY”, a group exhibition of nineteen artists presented by EXPANDED.ART with The NFT Gallery in New York and London in April and May 2023.,
She has taken part in group presentations in the on-chain art scene, including Fakewhale Gallery's “ART MARKET” debut on Foundation in July 2024and the first “ART MARKET Day” on objkt.com in October 2024.In December 2022 she was one of the artists who created a visual reinterpretation of Planet Funk's track “Chase The Sun” for the DEMOTAPERS Genesis drop, released through Objkt on the Tezos blockchain.In August 2026 her work was included in “STILL WET”, an exhibition of eighteen artists at Galerie Met in Berlin, held in collaboration with objkt.com.,
