Dangiuz (Italian, b. 1995) is the pseudonym of Leopoldo D'Angelo, a digital artist and art director from Turin who renders dystopian, neon-lit cityscapes in a style he calls Romantic Cyberpunk. Working mainly in Cinema 4D and Octane Render, he draws on Blade Runner and 1984 to explore what he calls an endless fight between admiring the future and fearing it.
He studied graphic design and photography at the Bodoni Paravia school in Turin before working as an art director and graphic designer, experience that feeds into the architectural detail of his dystopian scenes. In February 2021 he sold Grand Challenge as an NFT, among the first fully digital artworks sold this way by an Italian artist, and went on to sell single-edition works on SuperRare alongside artists such as XCOPY and Pak.
