Dandelion Wist Mané is a generative art collector who co-founded the generative art marketplace Archipelago.,In 2022 Mané worked with the artist Tyler Hobbs to create QQL, a generative art project that let collectors adjust the algorithm's parameters and choose which of their own outputs to mint.,,
Mané entered the NFT space as generative art collections such as Fidenza rose in popularity during 2021, building a collection of works from that period.On QQL, Mané handled the smart contract work and built out the project's Web3 infrastructure, and also contributed to the visual language of the algorithm's outputs alongside Hobbs. Where Hobbs' earlier Fidenza, released on Art Blocks, minted every generated image automatically, QQL added a curatorial step back into the process. Collectors used mint passes to explore the algorithm and select which outputs to mint, and an unused seed could be resold to another collector.Mint passes for the 999-piece QQL collection went on sale through an Archipelago Dutch auction in September 2022 and sold out at 14 ETH, raising about $16.75 million.
In spring 2023 Pace gallery's web3 wing Pace Verso commissioned “QQL: Analogs”, its first exhibition dedicated to a single artist's web3 project.The show presented twelve large-scale works Hobbs produced from the QQL algorithm using a custom plotter and hand-painting.,
