danctrl

DanCtrl, the alias of Danilo Xhema, is a digital artist with a background in traditional painting who works by letting software take control of the image, allowing tools as simple as an alignment function to dictate its destruction or abstraction.^1,2 His practice places emphasis on simplicity and the power of concept, working primarily with the gradient tool as an expressive form.¹

In January 2023 his work featured in “Tez in Japan”, an exhibition of Tezos-based digital art.³ That May, Fakewhale Cross included his piece WELCOME in the “METRO ROOTS” release, a Weekly Art Market drop grouping eight artists.¹
