David Seven is a conceptual artist based in the Netherlands who works by day as an award-winning architect and by night as an algorithmic artist. His visual work is created in partnership with a computer, a real-time performative exchange of randomization and curation with an autonomous generative system, and often has a physical counterpart in large-scale prints.
His work explores the duality of human nature and the social condition, retaining what he calls a romantic outlook on traditional approaches to medium even as he works with emerging technologies. He released PRIMAL through Tender, a curated generative art platform whose on-chain releases were built with Art Blocks technology. In October 2023 he took part in “Truth”, a Feral File group show curated by Adam Berninger that also included Tyler Boswell, Charlotte Dann, Ella Hoeppner, HAL09999 and Lisa Orth.,For the show he released Dactylogram, a series of 128 generative digital paintings that frame recurring motifs of nature, described in his statement as a lens moving between cosmos, microcosm and inner cosmos to reveal the interconnectedness of the natural world.,
