cydr and noper are two digital artists whose joint project, Rare Fish Market, launched on Fellowship in May 2025 as a satirical send-up of speculative crypto hype, tokenizing invented rare fish as mock investments.cydr, born in 2002 and based in Curitiba, Brazil, works mainly in digital illustration and collage built around deliberate distortion, a style he jokingly calls “Cydrism”.,,
He began making digital art in 2020 after encouragement from the artist Omentejovem, becoming active in the digital art space the following year, having previously worked with photographic manipulation and collage. cydr is colour blind and has a form of synesthesia that pairs colour with taste and emotion when he eats, and he treats visual distortion as a way of depicting how memory and perception warp what people see. His series New-life, to Still-life, shown through curator Ivan Zhyzhkevych's project The Garden and collected on Verse, reworks still-life fruit compositions through the hyper-saturated, low-poly look of early video games, partly inspired by the still-life work of Scratch Williams.
A profile of his work by AOTM highlighted pieces including gibbon's skeleton, guidance and in love with my passport, alongside crisp, which sold for 0.6942 ETH in a curated auction.noper works primarily in animated GIFs that translate introspection into looping, glitching imagery, drawing on childhood nostalgia, technology overload, and recurring bull and body symbolism. In September 2025 noper joined mendezmendez and Olivia Pedigo in AOTM's fifth Artists-in-Residence cohort, presenting looping works including try to be still and the open edition constant energy.
