CoDexter, credited as John Wowkavic of BrainArt Labs, is a generative artist who has explored using artificial intelligence to write the code behind his work. In July 2022 he released Starmap - AI Study I on fxhash, a first-of-its-kind generative art experiment in which written prompts were translated into JavaScript code generated entirely by GPT-3, apart from the random-number function needed to vary each output.¹
