Clay Heaton is an artist who has also spoken as a collector about the workings of fxhash, the Tezos-based generative art platform. In a 2022 roundtable, he explained how fxhash solved a problem that earlier Tezos platforms like Hic et Nunc had with generative editions, whose customization depended on APIs that could break a piece after minting.
As a collector, he named Zebra's Mirror #1 [p5.js] #17 by Metamoar his favorite piece, describing it as “animated, colorful, subtly interactive, imperfect, silly, and fun” and representative of what sets interactive generative art apart from other art forms.
