cibarius (Italian, b. 1984) is a digital artist and electronic music producer who works with generative video, 3D modelling and AI. He lives and works in Siena. His work draws on sociological, psychological and cognitive themes, and on social critique. His art began in sound, and he later shifted his focus entirely to digital art.
cibarius has a background in humanistic studies and a twenty year career in music production. He says these have condensed into a visual analysis of the relationship between man, technology and history. In 2024 he made five works with SodlabStudio about the rational and the irrational, including Jeu a Deux. Jeu a Deux stages a tennis match in which the players are rationality and irrationality. His 2024 generative videos Archiloops are described as reflecting the rigid schemes that humans create in everyday life.
