Cem Hasimi is a London-based digital artist, originally from Turkey,,who makes fluid, particle-based animations and generative systems exploring movement, perception, and spatial composition.His work often centers a recurring human figure wandering through shifting, luminous environments, moving between abstraction and figuration.,He began his career as an art director in advertising before turning to digital art.,
Hasimi's earliest work was minted on Hic et Nunc before he moved to objkt.com, where his animations evolved from spare line-based pieces toward the more personal visual language of his later work. In September 2024 he released A Series of Grieving, a four-piece collection made with objkt.one Gallery that moves through anger, acceptance, depression and denial as stages of his own healing process, shown alongside his exhibition “Pivotal: Digitalism” at the British Art Fair at Saatchi Gallery in London.The following year he presented “In Bloom: An Emotional Topography” as a solo show at Frameless London, an installation made for World Mental Health Day with an original soundscape by Woody Cook and video generated using AI.,
That same year he also presented “Never Arrive” at Offline Gallery in New York, curated by An Rong, following a recurring figure that wanders through luminous environments that keep shifting, never settling into a fixed place.,The landscapes began as digital paintings made with Midjourney, reshaped into motion and combined with frame-by-frame animation of the recurring figure. Across the series he combined AI, code, physical sculpture and light installation with digital painting, treating each medium as a layer of perception between the synthetic and the tangible.
He also works in phygital sculpture, translating his coded light and animation practice into physical form.,HoldStream, cast in resin and acrylic across twelve metal rods driven by programmable LED strips, was shown at the British Art Fair at Saatchi Gallery in September 2025, where it sold, and was later exhibited at SuperRare's Offline Gallery.d.memo, a hand-sculpted, animatronic silicone figure lit from within by coded LED light, was made in collaboration with Baris Kareli and sold for 16,000 GBP.
