Bio
Carlo Vega is an artist born in Lima, Peru, who works across video, ceramic sculpture, painting, drawing and 3D-printed forms finished in automotive paint. Vega combines simple geometric shapes with nebulous backgrounds to explore a tension between the logical and the inexplicable, a tension he traces to his childhood in Lima, where he learned geometry from his mathematician grandfather and absorbed Catholic iconography from his surroundings.
