Born in Newport Beach, California, in 1988, cardelucci holds a BFA from Chapman University, graduating cum laude.,Her ongoing series Plates traces life's impermanence through platinum prints hand-coated in a nineteenth-century process, paired with blockchain-authenticated digital originals.,In 2021 she deployed a single Ethereum smart contract, titled CARDELUCCI, to hold every work in the series under one record of authorship, beginning with Plate 1, made after her return to Southern California.,Between 2016 and 2019 she traveled through public lands across the American West photographing wild mustangs, a search that began after the loss of her own horse. cardelucci has said of the animals: “The wind knots in their manes almost tell their tale. Tangled, yet wild and beautiful.” The resulting series, Wild Mustangs, pairs twenty images released as 1/1 NFT editions with handmade platinum prints, with proceeds from sales supporting the wild-horse sanctuary Return to Freedom. Mustang and Bird, a photograph of a stallion with a bird perched on its back, was acquired by the photographer Justin Aversano.She later photographed mustangs living in private sanctuaries for Untamed, examining the tension between freedom and confinement.
