Brynn Alise Schmidt is a nature and wildlife photographer whose single-frame images focus on conservation, drawing on a background in environmental planning and the Endangered Species Act. Her photography centers on the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, the Rocky Mountains, and the coastlines of California and Maui, rendered in a realistic style meant to place the viewer in the scene.
She entered the digital art space in the spring of 2021, releasing 1/1 photographs and limited editions on SuperRare, Foundation, and OpenSea.Her 2024 series Hydrothermal, listed on Foundation through Transient Labs, distilled four years of photographing Yellowstone's geothermal features into ten images selected from more than a thousand.The 2025 series Brushed Wild and the series Timeless, on SuperRare between 2024 and 2026, both grew out of Frosted, her photograph of a bison in a blizzard at thirty degrees below zero, reworking her wildlife images into a more painted, dreamlike register.,
From sales of her Balance in Nature collection on OpenSea, a set of 50 1/1 conservation-themed pieces, she donated more than $12,000 to the Western Environmental Law Center and the Center for Biological Diversity.,Her photography has been published in the books Chasing Magic and Magic in the Wilderness, both anthologies of women nature photographers, and in Nature's Vision Magazine, and shown in digital galleries including the Time/National Geographic Gallery at Art Basel Miami in December 2022 and at NFT NYC in April 2023.In March 2021 she joined a Clubhouse panel on women in landscape, wildlife, and adventure photography for International Women's Day.
