Blind Gallery is a curated NFT collecting experience founded by Kaloh, a computer and data scientist who left a corporate tech career to focus on digital art and writes Kaloh's Newsletter. Its concept borrows from blind wine tastings: artists submit work anonymously, and collectors choose pieces based on the art alone, with each artist's identity revealed only after collecting closes.
Each edition runs as a week-long digital event: collectors buy a Tezos-based Mint Pass, exchange it during a set Exchange Period for an allowlist spot in their favorite artist's collection, and see the artists' names revealed only once the exchange period ends.,Editions have included the inaugural First Edition, a Bear Market edition and a Seed edition, with completed collections made available to trade on objkt.com and, later, minted through fxhash.
Blind Gallery collaborated with Casey Reas and the platform Feral File on the Vistas Edition, a show of generative landscape works by six mystery artists that Reas said was inspired by a recurring interest in generative landscapes among his creative-coding students.,The gallery also runs an Art Incubator, where members of its collector club vote on emerging artists working with code, AI or blockchain tools, who then develop work with feedback from the Blind Gallery team before releasing it through the gallery's surprise drops and editions. The project has collaborated with more than 50 digital artists and reached over 1,000 collectors worldwide.
