beervangeer is a Dutch interactive media artist working in the field of biofeedback art. Using physiological data such as breathing and heart rate as an input, he creates generative works that draw on symbolism and sacred geometry to explore the human unconscious. He has released a series of generative art collections on Art Blocks since 2021, alongside a separate design practice applying biofeedback technology in healthcare settings.
He studied digital media design and earned an M.A. from the School of Art in Utrecht in the Netherlands. After graduating, he worked as an interactive media designer building museum installations, then began experimenting with neurofeedback devices, a path that led him into healthcare. His first generative project, Dagaz (2009), used a user's brain activity to generate interactive mandala figures. He later founded Breathing Space, an interactive gallery in The Hague that screens generative art responding to a viewer's physiology. He also runs Ademruimte, a foundation that brings contemplative, interactive art into public space.
