beantart is a Canadian figurative artist who works at the intersection of traditional painting and machine-assisted processes.,She explores identity, memory and transformation through painterly images that move between physical and digital space, completing formal studies in fine art and maintaining a studio practice rooted in observational drawing and painting.
Figures in the work emerge through erasure and reconstruction, with earlier states remaining visible beneath the surface as layered brushwork and shifting temperatures mirror the instability of memory.The Genesis Collection, released in November 2022, paired beantart with AI as a collaborator in exploring and repairing a fragmented identity, comprising nine one-of-one works and one edition of ten minted on Ethereum.
In 2026 beantart contributed to “Raw Infinite Presence”, a group exhibition on crowneddogs.space built around an open call for work exploring bodily presence and perceptual shift. She described one of her paintings there as sustaining “a state of transition, where one impulse is still present while another has already taken hold”.
Her work has also been shown publicly, including in “Strange History: Alternate Realities”, displayed in Times Square, New York City, in August 2023.
