BaltazarGarden is a generative artist whose NaturalGarden series composes botanical and floral forms into digital garden scenes, reflecting his own love of gardening and a childhood spent in the countryside. He trained as a fashion designer at a fashion school in Paris and worked for companies in France and abroad.
Baltazar makes his generative work with dice. His work evokes traditional Japanese woodblock prints, its vision of utopia “trapped among the thickets of digital flora—at times euphoric, at others nightmarish, echoing the heaviest of traditional folk tales”. The pieces “strip the humanity from human stories”, leaving natural worlds that read as illustrations of an ancient, epic tale. He has released his work across platforms including fxhash, Foundation, objkt, Exchange Art, and Teia.
