Asuka Michihiro is a Japanese material artist from Osaka who works primarily in needle felting, hand-manipulating fiber into sculptural forms. She aims to use her chosen materials completely, without waste, and is drawn to the boundary between discarded objects and new art supplies.
She graduated from OCAD University in Toronto in 2013, and her needle-felted works have an ethereal, tactile quality that reflects her technical expertise in the medium.
