arsonic is the pseudonym of Guillaume, a digital designer and generative artist whose on-chain generative art projects blend visuals, animation and sound. With his collaborator Sebastian he co-founded Zeblocks, through which the pair released Unigrids, a collection of 421 generative grids stored entirely on the Ethereum blockchain.
Guillaume studied Arts and Multimedia at university, where he developed a passion for abstract art and began oil painting. After graduating he ran a web and marketing agency before shifting his focus to blockchain development. He learned about NFTs in 2017 from Snowfro, though it took him three years to grasp the medium. In late summer 2020, after buying his first CryptoPunk, he minted his first on-chain artwork, Everything is Better with a Bag of Weed, one of the first fully on-chain animated SVGs, and the piece that led him to develop the generative system behind Unigrids.
