Arke is a French multidisciplinary artist who has worked with NFTs since 2020. He makes digital paintings, sculptures and drawings that focus on the expressiveness of lines and shapes. His work ranges from colorful illustrations to the darkness of charcoal. Influences he names include Rodin, Magritte and the comic artist Moebius.
Arke attended an art and graphics school, where the training centred on traditional drawing and sculpture, and then worked as a graphic designer. He came to NFTs through an interest in Bitcoin and blockchain that grew during the COVID crisis. He paints and draws mainly on an iPad with Procreate, and he sculpts in 3D with ZBrush and a graphic tablet. Among his early NFT projects was Legends of Cryptonia, an NFT game played through Discord in which the player is the hero. In 2021 he was among the 17 French-speaking artists exhibited at the ETHCC conference.
