Ariu Azadi is an Iranian artist working in dark art, mixed media, expressionism, and minimalism, combining physical work with digital painting and photography. Azadi has described the practice as “tracing the form in emotion” across both traditional and digital media.
The work explores the artist's view of reality through strong, expressive feeling, with lines that reflect chaos and darkness in the imagery. Pieces such as The Blackhole of a Cotton Brain, Murk effect, and the two-part series Sultan's Dream extend this dark, minimalist expressionism.
