Anzomez is an Indonesian digital artist whose practice explores memory, longing and the emotional traces of personal experience. Working across digital collage, layered textures, gradients, fragmented imagery and glitch-based processes, they construct visual narratives suspended between recollection and imagination. Anzomez has expanded the practice into short filmmaking, bringing cinematic rhythm and movement into the work.
In the collection Our Forever Only Lasted in Dreams, Anzomez transformed footage they personally recorded along the shoreline into dreamlike, glitch-layered images. Growing up in Indonesia, they said the sea was never distant, and that its familiar unpredictability mirrors the way memory works within them. Rather than reconstructing what happened, they use glitches and layered textures to recreate the instability of remembering itself.
