Ann is a traditional and digital artist based in Mexico City, specializing in illustration, painting and tattooing. Her work is characterized by surreal, colorful compositions that explore themes of identity, transformation, womanhood and human nature in a contemporary and dream-like way. A fan of movie theaters, her paintings have a staged atmosphere, where the women in them are the protagonists of their own story. They are observations and reflections, rather than explanations, aiming to capture the female complexity and spirit from an intimate angle. After studying Visual Arts in Berlin and Melbourne, she moved to Mexico, where she completed her training as a tattooist and found her second home. Ann has been working as a Freelance Artist ever since, developing creative projects in Berlin, Melbourne, Bali, Oaxaca and Mexico City.
