Andrea Peçatikov, working as andrealitmus (b. 1991), is a multidisciplinary artist and creative technologist based in Istanbul. His practice combines generative systems with material experimentation, developed across limited collections, exhibitions and workshops. His central technique, Foils, turns photographed aluminum foil into abstract digital compositions through a mix of analog folding and digital processing.
Each piece begins with an ordinary sheet of foil folded by hand, then photographed and digitally reworked until a form and a name emerge from the material rather than from a preset algorithm.Between 2022 and 2024 he extended the technique into nine parallel collections under Foils Series, among them Discovery Foils, fourteen pieces built around Daft Punk's Discovery album, and Your Foils, in which each title was drawn from viewers' first reactions to the image online. His first on-chain collection, The Liquid Abstracts, released 100 unique pieces built from layered Photoshop gradients and blend modes pushed until the resulting shapes became the subject rather than a byproduct.
He has also worked on commission, creating the cover artwork for composer Zeynep Toraman's 2023 electroacoustic album In a Dark House and the packaging design for a single malt whisky release by VAME Malts in 2022.,In Magic Carpet Rides, he began minting a new image and caption on-chain each day, building what he describes as a living journal of desire, memory and market moods. In 2023 he took part in the Vertical Crypto Art Residency, a twelve-week program for digital artists.
