André Oliveira Cebola (Brazilian, b. 1987) is a multidisciplinary artist based in São Paulo whose practice spans generative art, video art, and interactive installations. He combines programming with physical processes and uses light as a central medium in a constantly evolving, poetic visual language.
In his series ASCII, Cebola builds glitches with deliberate intent, using colours that change in precise, sometimes clockwise rotation. His series Temperamental pursues the opposite effect, using crisp lines and precise motion to create images that feel unstable and fickle.
In 2022 he was a confirmed panelist for “Brasil em Brasa”, a Brazilian crypto art event staged by Zardoz Gallery in Cryptovoxels, alongside artists including Novíssimo Edgar and Tomm Zardoz. In April 2025 his work was included in “Reflecting Skin”, a twenty-artist online exhibition from the zardoz.club collection exploring the digitisation of human skin, curated by Tales Tommasini. That July his work appeared alongside six other artists in “X%” in Madrid, an exhibition examining practices that blur the line between the analogue and the digital. In 2025 he was also among more than sixty artists commissioned for Season One of the objkt Art Pack, a tradable NFT booster-pack reward system.
