Andre Fuchs is a generative artist and developer who had been selling generative art on the platform fx(hash) for about a year by the end of 2022. He co-founded Re-tain, a Tezos-based platform that lets artists deploy their generative art collections on individual personal smart contracts rather than a single shared platform contract.
His generative work BETWEEN THE LINES was featured in a roundup of new releases on the generative art platform fx(hash) in 2022. In August 2023, Fuchs co-founded Re-tain alongside Pifragile and Studio Yorktown. Before Re-tain, Fuchs had built diyframe.xyz. Re-tain lets artists deploy generative art collections on individual Tezos smart contracts instead of a single shared platform contract. Collectors can randomize a generative artwork until satisfied with the result before minting, with the smart contract preventing duplicate outputs. Fuchs has said his motivation was to let collectors mint pieces directly from his personal website, a capability existing platforms did not offer.
