Amber Vittoria is an illustrator who paints and draws brightly coloured figures with exaggerated proportions, protruding body hair and extended limbs, work that challenges stereotypes about how women's bodies should look.Vittoria grew up in Carmel, New York, studied graphic design at Boston University, and works from New York City.,
Vittoria began her career as a graphic designer for Victoria's Secret before moving into illustration.Her illustrations have been commissioned by brands including Gucci, Google, NBC, The New York Times, Instagram and Warby Parker.,For French department store Le Bon Marché's 2019 holiday catalogue, she illustrated looks from Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Chanel.In 2020 she was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for art and style.,
In March 2021, Vittoria began selling her work as NFTs. She bought her first CryptoPunk with her husband that year, using money the couple had set aside for a car. Her first collection on OpenSea, a set of 25 NFTs meditating on and deconstructing the female form, sold out. She then paused for several months before returning with fully digital, abstracted work built from ribbons of colour and scattered shapes.With the artist Kelly Milligan, she released Balance on Art Blocks, which sold out.Her Amber Vittoria's Alphabet Collection rewards collectors who acquire five lettered prints with a bonus word NFT that combines the letters, given to them free of charge. She led the panel “The Digital Art Renaissance” at NFT NYC.
