Wang was born in Taichung, Taiwan.^1,2,4 He began his career in interactive design, working as a creative designer on large-scale installation artworks before moving into generative art.^1,4 Wang holds a master's degree in New Media Art from Taipei National University of the Arts.⁴ He won top honors at the Taipei Arts Festival in 2012 and 2015.^1,2,4 In 2021 he collaborated with a team of creators and researchers to establish akaSwap, described as the first NFT art platform in Asia.⁵ In 2023 Wang released After The Cave, a curated collection of 128 generative pieces on Foundation inspired by his encounters with indigenous art in a museum. The collection generated over 28 ETH (about $60,000) in sales volume. Wang has cited Paul Klee's phrase “taking a line for a walk” as a reference for the piece's pulsating, algorithmically drawn lines.⁶

Since 2023 Wang has developed Polypaths, a generative system whose code-drawn plants branch and grow following real botanical patterns such as opposite, alternate and whorled leaf arrangements.^7,8 Its frames and layouts are modeled on his collection of botanical encyclopedias and museum specimen sheets.⁷ Its development began even before he completed his earlier work Equinox.⁸ Each plant's growth also incorporates deliberate glitches and rare mutations, an approach Wang traces to his earlier piece Chaos Research. The plants' growth also follows compositional logic drawn from classical Chinese landscape painting's principles of qi and shi.⁷ Polypaths was exhibited at Galerie Met in Berlin in collaboration with Verse in August and September 2025.⁸ Wang has since released Polypaths SE, an artist-curated special edition of 72 works being issued in stages through 2028.⁹

In 2020 Wang held a solo exhibition at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts. In 2023 his generative work was shown alongside the paintings of Guo Xuehu in an exhibition pairing digital art with a century of Taiwanese landscape painting.⁴
