aakizukii, also known as akizuki.eth, is a computational artist, architect, and blockchain engineer. One project, Aging Crypto Buddha, is an ever-changing generative artwork that interacts with the blockchain, ageing as time passes or as a piece's ownership is transferred, until eventually nothing remains visible. A custom smart contract records how many times each work has changed hands, and ages the piece accordingly.
The first series of Aging Crypto Buddha, consisting of 108 pieces, depicts the Vairocana, with different groups within the series showing different visual transitions toward each piece's disappearance. Owners of the pieces are described as important members of the project, which maintains a channel within Soudan NFT, a Discord community for Japanese NFT collectors.
