aertime is a digital artist, designer, and animator based in Madison, Wisconsin, working in glitch aesthetics, visual distortion, and the relationship between memory and technology. Using techniques such as pixel sorting and databending, aertime turns digital landscapes into fragmented, dreamlike compositions with a distinct, “melty” psychedelic aesthetic, working with glitch since 2007.
aertime's work has been shown internationally in curated exhibitions including Art Basel in Miami, Design Shanghai, and the FOCUS Art Fair in New York. It has also been featured in publications including VICE's Creators Project, Tone Madison, Isthmus, and L'Officiel Voyage Russia. Beyond gallery work, aertime has made album artwork for musicians including house music pioneer Mr. Fingers.
The artist Jack Kaido has said that discovering aertime's art was an “irreversible turning point” for his own practice.In a separate interview, Kaido again named aertime among the crypto artists who have influenced him and others.In May 2023, a survey of glitch artists noted that aertime's piece FUTURE FORECAST had just minted out.In 2026, MILK featured aertime in the 14th edition of its Artist Spotlight Series, alongside Cosm, a work described as depicting mountainous topography in gradient tones with a glitch motif.
