Aempatia is the name used by the Argentine visual artist Agustina L. Tonetti, who works with manipulated photography and digital collage. Based in Córdoba, Argentina, Aempatia combines analog and digital techniques with archival material, scanned images and photographic sources to construct atmospheres and visual narratives.
In 2024 Aempatia made the cover art for Petals Turn Blue, a music project by Javier Galán produced at KDM Studio.Aempatia also took part in Sublime Cinema, a nine-week seminar organized by the Tezos-focused arts collective Newtro and led by the filmmaker and researcher Gustavo Sanabria. The seminar explored cinema through ideas of duration and memory drawn from the philosopher Henri Bergson.Aempatia's work has also been shown on public digital art billboards through Artcrush Gallery, which partners with out-of-home media companies to display digital art in city streets.
