aebrer

Bio

aebrer makes generative art exploring entropy, emergence and pareidolia, working almost entirely within the constraints of the PICO-8 fantasy console. The name belongs to Andrew E. Brereton, who has developed his own technique called entropy locking to generate emergent variety from code. Work is minted on Tezos, chosen as a low-energy, proof-of-stake blockchain.

Three Body Problem was Brereton's first generative art series, a set of more than 24 pieces published on Hic et Nunc simulating gravitating bodies in orbit. Later pieces in the series, including luna theory | EMULATOR, added an ambient soundtrack by the musician bisdvrk.
