ADHD (American, b. 1981) is the moniker of Philadelphia-based artist and musician Colin Frangicetto, also known as Space Case.,,His hyper-layered paintings and collages channel a language of cohesive chaos to explore memetics, alienation, and post-internet decadence.He has exhibited visual art since 2008 and has spent decades touring internationally as a guitarist, most notably with the band Circa Survive.,
He first thought about becoming an artist around age sixteen, and immersion in punk, skateboarding, graffiti, and DIY culture gave him confidence to pursue it outside conventional work. After buying Bitcoin in 2016 while touring full-time and exhibiting physical work in galleries, he initially treated painting as the “serious” side of his practice and digital work as secondary. He began minting on Ethereum in late 2020, but felt disenchanted by the hype of 2021 until the launch of Hic et Nunc drew him back in. About six months later, the wallet display's limitations led him to start a fresh wallet for a new body of work, giving rise to the ADHD moniker.
Sleep Studies (2022–2023) is a series of abstract digital paintings made just before sleep and right after waking.In INSET (2024–2025), a digital collage series, he fractures and glitches his own screengrabs into layered compositions exploring the “screens within screens” of daily digital life, drawing on Rauschenberg's silkscreen collages and medieval stained glass.Influence, begun in 2023 and continuing since, is an always-evolving digital painting made of marks representing each of his followers on X, its price and imagery updated as that following changes.
In 2023, his solo show “A Noisy Mind” at Colonna Contemporary in Wayne, Pennsylvania, included Constant Companion, an iPod mounted on a white painting that plays the tone of his tinnitus on a loop. The show also featured Homesick I and Homesick II, arrangements of hotel keys collected during years of touring.In Phase Shift (2025), a body of twelve unique 1/1 GIFs, he extended that recursive, layered language into looping motion, framing the shift through artists who redefined their own mediums over time, among them Jenny Holzer, Richter, and Barbara Kruger.,In 2025, he joined the fourth cohort of AOTM's Artists in Residence program, and in 2026 he presented Post_Histories through the objkt labs Residency, an interactive HTML carousel work blending found footage, painting, memes, and music.,
