Bio

1BitNecro is a pseudonymous digital artist working in the NFT medium, whose GIF-based pieces draw on occult imagery such as hauntings, curses and cryptomancy, populated by recurring characters such as The Mothman. His practice has been described as imprinting “cyber romanticism” on the human mind through the NFT medium.

In January 2022, the Tezos NFT project UNDRGRND commissioned him for its monthly artist grant, minting a 100-edition NFT distributed to the project's membership cardholders. He has also worked with the fashion house Balmain. As of January 2022, he was also working with the musician RZA, of the Wu-Tang Clan. An early collector encouraged him to join the Tezos platform Hic et Nunc, believing its community would embrace his art. He has been portrayed as a phoenix-like figure who reinvents himself after loss.^,
