Bio
1Abstract creates generative art with the R programming language and p5.js, producing compositions such as point arrangements rendered with Voronoi tessellation. The pseudonymous artist, who goes by the first name Alex, works as a researcher in ecology and describes a mixed Eastern European heritage that includes Romanian roots.
1Abstract has released generative work on platforms including fxhash and Art Blocks, among them the series Brush and bristle and Prohibition. One example arranges points along a spiral and renders them with Voronoi tessellation, producing a composition from a short piece of R code.
