0xG is a pseudonymous artist working between conceptual and digital art through the technical exploration of blockchain as a medium. Their practice treats the smart contract itself as the artistic instrument, producing minimal, systems-driven works that exist directly on-chain, where visual form often serves an underlying conceptual or computational structure.
In Owned (2022),0xG reworked the ERC-721 token standard so that an NFT can be lent or held for a limited time without the holder becoming its recorded owner.,The project produced three tokens that share one visual but differ only in ownership status, questioning how ownership is displayed and understood in NFT culture.

Contact, a smart contract recording an imagined exchange of messages with an advanced alien intelligence on the Ethereum blockchain,was submitted to “CONTACT ATTEMPT – the 50th Anniversary of the Arecibo Message”, organized by the Herbert W.
