A melancholy world. Nothing to do. Nothing to listen to—just the sound of your own teeth rotting out of your mouth while you wait for your daily ration of gruel... The barren planet gave off no sound and the sky was a cold eternal shield of grey. In the distance, a small child was made of stone, a mute witness to the world. There was no beauty here... Through the gray wall of a sky the great Sun blazed like a sick dying child peering through dirty glass. It seared the limbs of insects and burning down an approaching seaborne jungle of smoke and fire. The Sun illuminated the desolation but made it easier to see that no life could live here for long in this yellow sunbelt where shadows cast as one sharp-edged black images as if on screens of rock and aluminum. This was a planet of pain and fury, every organism on this hellhole of a world seemed to have only one purpose: destroy itself feed other monsters or both.
