Known as "Axe-Wielding Rama" or "The Angry Man", Parasurama is an immortal brahmana (priest). He was the teacher of Bhisma and Karna. Once He fought Bhisma to a stalemate for 7 days for the sake of Amba's plea for help. Known as one of the Vishnu Avatar, he journeyed to kill every living Kshatriya (warrior class) since, in his era, they do nothing but fight amongst each other and bring misfortune to the commoner.

In his exile, he swore not to join any war, including Bharatayuddha.
