Excerpt from "A Pocket Guide to the Unstable Zones and Minor Rifts of the American West (5th Edition)," p. 223:
'About the site: Although Red Rocks is now a tourist destination, it is still technically designated an Unstable Zone, as it remains unclear how many of the Entities who once roamed these hills are still active. While tourists do occasionally vanish, they usually leave clues as to the manner of their disappearance, most of which indicate the involvement of Dead-class Entities. Further bolstering this conclusion, a few visitors have reported seeing a sign that reads "Respect the Dead," apparently located somewhere in the near the Red Rocks Visitor Center. The sign continues: "This is a warning: Please avoid this area. There are no safe places to seek the Dead."
In order to minimize the number of tourist disappearances, the local chapter of the Order of the Black Sun (Ch. #226) has developed a ritual to be performed at the edge of the Red Rocks Unstable Zone. The ritual is designed to bind the Dead to the rocks, preventing them from harming any living beings. The ritual requires the following items: -A black candle -A piece of obsidian -A bowl of salt -A bowl of water
