Frequencies of Deep Time: Deep Time of Latent Space: Geological Thinking #1

Deep Time of Latent Space relates the strata of human activity within large language models as another layer of the Anthropocene, which places AI into the realm of geological thinking that spirals into deep time and broadcasts into the future. A position that challenges us to use strategies of long term thinking for the impact of these emerging technologies.

This work was created with stable diffusion utilizing a video synth pattern as a controlNet. The exported TIFF sequence was then placed in a custom switcher built in TouchDesigner to flip through sequence at periodic rates that mirrored a oscillator switcher, creating audio-visual sync. The voice over was created on Runway.
