About Glitch Narrative
We are all born glitch—imperfect, divergent, and beautifully flawed. Just as the Taiwanese identity emerged through historical disruptions and continues to evolve in the face of constant threats and changes, these 'glitches' in our collective narrative have enabled our culture and spirit to thrive. It's through embracing these imperfections and disturbances that we find our most authentic expressions of self.
In 'Glitch Narrative,' I explore Taiwanese identity through the process of digital disruption, creating a visual narrative that embraces chaos, accepts imperfection, and discovers beauty through glitches.
As a Taiwanese photographer, my work begins with intimate portraits of everyday people—real individuals whose stories shape contemporary Taiwan. Each photograph captures the raw essence of what it means to be Taiwanese today, particularly through the lens of my own journey as a Tai Mei (Taiwanese woman) seeking to understand my place in this rapidly evolving digital age.
Through generative glitches and disruptions, each portrait transforms and emerges with a new identity. I create a metaphorical space where emerging identity meets random, messy, complicated, and noisy chaos, reflecting the beautiful contradictions of modern Taiwanese life.
Process: The process creates images that bridge emerging Taiwanese narratives with digital experimentation.

我們生而渾沌——不完美、歧異，帶著美麗的缺陷。正如台灣認同在歷史的擾動中浮現，並在持續的威脅和變遷下不斷演進，這些在我們集體敘事中的「故障」反而使我們的文化與精神得以茁壯。正是透過擁抱這些不完美與擾動，我們找到了最真實的自我表達。
在《渾沌敘事》中，我透過數位擾動的過程探索台灣認同，創造一個擁抱混沌、接受不完美，並在故障中發現美的視覺敘事。
作為一位台灣攝影師，我的作品始於對日常人物的親密肖像——真實個體，他們的故事塑造了當代台灣。每張照片都捕捉了身為台灣人的原始本質，特別是透過我作為台妹（台灣女性）的視角，尋求理解自己在這個快速演進的數位時代中的定位。
透過生成式故障和擾動，每幅肖像都轉化並呈現出新的身份。我創造了一個隱喻空間，在此新興身份與隨機、混亂、複雜且嘈雜的混沌相遇，反映了現代台灣生活中美麗的矛盾。
創作過程： 這個過程創造出連結新興台灣敘事與數位實驗的影像。
